I am a sculptor and a doctor - an unusual combination.
I was born and brought up in the Highlands of Scotland.
I trained as a doctor in London and then worked in Britain and Canada - finally settling in Edinburgh.
I stopped work to have 3 children.
I then began to sculpt - training under Vincent Butler RSA. RGI. - one of Scotland's leading bronze sculptors.
I am now retired from medical work and am no longer taking commissions for new sculptures

Thanks to
The Edinburgh College of Art who started me off. A wonderful evening class run by Vincent Butler during which both Vincent and Michael Snowden would do their own work alongside us. What better way to be inspired. What better way to learn.
